Block Stack — a free Minecraft stacking game
One tap, one goal: build the tallest tower. A block slides across the top — tap to drop it, and whatever hangs over the edge breaks off. Nail a dead-centre drop for a perfect and keep your width. No download, no sign-in.
Block Stack
Tap to drop each block. Line it up — overhang breaks off. Nail it dead-centre for a perfect. How tall can you build?
How to play Block Stack
- 1Press Play. Hit Play to start — a block begins sliding across the top of the tower.
- 2Watch it slide. The block moves back and forth, and speeds up the higher you build.
- 3Tap to drop. Tap anywhere (or click) to lock the block onto the tower.
- 4Mind the overhang. Any part hanging past the block below breaks off and the tower narrows.
- 5Aim for perfect. Line it up dead-centre to keep full width — perfects even grow the block back.
- 6Keep building. The tower never ends. Submit your final height to the global leaderboard.
Tips for a taller tower
- Perfect placements keep your block full-width and even regrow it — precision beats speed.
- Drop a hair early: the block keeps sliding, so account for the movement.
- Don't chase a shrinking block — once it's tiny, a perfect is your only way back.
- Speed ramps up with height; find a rhythm and tap on the beat.
- Watch the block's leading edge, not its centre, to time the drop.
Frequently asked questions
What is Block Stack?
Block Stack is a free one-tap Minecraft-themed browser game. A block slides across the top of your tower; you tap to drop it, and any overhang breaks off. The goal is to stack the blocks as high as you can. It runs instantly in any browser with no download and no sign-in.
How do you play Block Stack?
Tap (or click) to drop each sliding block onto the tower. Overlapping the block below keeps the tower going, while the part that hangs over is sliced off and the tower gets narrower. Dropping a block almost perfectly aligned counts as a 'perfect' and keeps it full width.
Is Block Stack free to play?
Yes. Block Stack is completely free with no download, no installation, and no account required. Just open minespecs.com/play/block-stack and press Play.
What is a perfect placement?
When you drop a block within a few pixels of perfect alignment with the one below, it counts as perfect: nothing breaks off and the block even regrows slightly, making it easier to keep building a tall tower.
How is my score calculated?
Your score is your tower height — the number of blocks you successfully stacked before it toppled. You can submit that height to the global leaderboard when your run ends.
Can I play Block Stack on mobile?
Yes. Block Stack is built for one-tap play, so it works great on phones and tablets — just tap the screen to drop each block. There's no app to install.
Is there a leaderboard?
Yes. Block Stack has its own global leaderboard, separate from Mine Slash. Enter a name when your run ends to submit your best tower and share it with friends.
Is Block Stack an official Minecraft game?
No. Block Stack is a free fan-made game created by MineSpecs. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft; 'Minecraft' is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.
