Minecraft skin questions
- How do I change my Minecraft skin?
- Download the PNG from any skin here, then upload it at minecraft.net under your profile's Skins tab, or through the Skins screen in the Minecraft Launcher. The change applies the next time the game starts — no restart of the launcher needed.
- What size does a Minecraft skin have to be?
- 64×64 pixels for the modern format, which every skin on this page already uses. The older 64×32 layout still loads but has no second layer on the arms and legs. Skins must be PNG with transparency preserved.
- What is the difference between Steve and Alex models?
- The classic (Steve) model has 4-pixel-wide arms and the slim (Alex) model has 3-pixel-wide arms. A skin drawn for one will look slightly misaligned on the other, so pick the model the skin was designed for in the launcher.
- Are these skins free to use?
- Yes — every skin here is free to download and use, with no account and no ads. You can also upload your own PNG to preview it on the live 3D model before applying it in-game.
