Steam 'n' Rails treats Create's rails as an aesthetic system rather than pure logistics. Eight new track types - dark oak, gold, nether wood and a monorail among them - mix freely with existing rails and each other, and right-clicking a track with any slab creates a grade crossing that also works on slopes and turns. Semaphore blocks give train yards and junctions proper signalling. It is an add-on, so Create must be installed alongside it.

How to install Create: Steam 'n' Rails

1Install Fabric · NeoForge · Forge for your Minecraft version — Create: Steam 'n' Rails supports 1.18.2 – 1.20.1.
2Download Needs Create and Fabric API as well — Create: Steam 'n' Rails depends on it and will not load without it.
3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
4Launch Minecraft using the Fabric · NeoForge · Forge profile. Create: Steam 'n' Rails appears in your mod list once the game loads.
