Hooking a fish opens a minigame where you click to bump a small green bobber bar upward and keep it over the fish to fill the progress bar beside it, landing the catch only once that bar is full. Difficulty is driven by a datapack, so default behaviour and individual fish can both be tuned to make rarer species harder, and Aquaculture rods are supported. With Quality Food integration, how accurately you tracked the fish decides the quality of what you pull out.

How to install Stardew Fishing

1Install NeoForge · Forge for your Minecraft version — Stardew Fishing supports 1.20.1 – 26.2.
2Download the Stardew Fishing .jar from the button above. It is hosted on MineSpecs, so there are no ad-gates or redirects.
3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
4Launch Minecraft using the NeoForge · Forge profile. Stardew Fishing appears in your mod list once the game loads.
