A basic CRT shader with some customizability. A semi realistic pack by Despatra featuring PBR, tuned for potato-tier hardware and better. Compatible with Iris and OptiFine across Minecraft 1.21 – 1.21.11. Licensed Apache-2.0, so the download is mirrored right here on MineSpecs — no ads, no redirects.

How to install Despatra's CRT

1. 1Install a shader loader for Minecraft 1.21 – 1.21.11 — Iris (pairs with Sodium) or OptiFine. Despatra's CRT is a shaderpack, so it needs a loader to run.
2. 2Download the Despatra's CRT .zip from the button above — keep it zipped. It is mirrored on MineSpecs, so there is no ad-gate or redirect.
3. 3Drop the .zip into your .minecraft/shaderpacks folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\shaderpacks on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/shaderpacks on macOS).
4. 4Launch the game, open Options → Video Settings → Shaders, and select Despatra's CRT.

Performance & what to expect

Despatra's CRT is rated potato performance impact. It is the lightest tier in the catalogue — it runs on integrated graphics and older laptops. It renders pbr. The look is semi realistic. Because it supports PBR, it looks its best with a matching texture set — browse our free resource packs for one with normal and specular maps.
