Cave Dust checks the player's sky exposure while they are below sea level, then scales particle density with depth so deep mineshafts feel hazier than shallow ones. Lush Caves are skipped since they already carry their own particles. Most options can be changed in-game through Mod Menu, although swapping the particle itself means editing the config file directly.

How to install Cave Dust
- 1Install Fabric · Forge for your Minecraft version — Cave Dust supports 1.18.2 – 26.1.2.
- 2Download Needs Fabric API, Architectury API and Mod Menu as well — Cave Dust depends on it and will not load without it.
- 3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
- 4Launch Minecraft using the Fabric · Forge profile. Cave Dust appears in your mod list once the game loads.
