Deeper and Darker builds out the Deep Dark and adds the Otherside, a dimension holding the deeplands, echoing forest, overcast columns and blooming caverns. An ancient temple is there too, the home of the warden, and over a hundred new blocks arrive for builders alongside new items and armour. A new update branch is in active development and is set to add proper progression to the dimension along with more biomes and entities.

How to install Deeper and Darker

  1. 1Install Fabric · NeoForge · Forge for your Minecraft version — Deeper and Darker supports 1.19.1 – 1.21.1.
  2. 2Download Needs YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL), Geckolib and owo-lib as well — Deeper and Darker depends on it and will not load without it.
  3. 3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
  4. 4Launch Minecraft using the Fabric · NeoForge · Forge profile. Deeper and Darker appears in your mod list once the game loads.
