Overflowing Bars keeps the HUD readable once your stats climb past vanilla limits: rather than piling on rows of icons, bars stack into layers with a numeric counter showing how many layers you have, using vanilla colours so there is no new scheme to memorise. It also adds a dedicated armour toughness bar, a defensive stat vanilla never displays. The author recommends pairing it with AttributeFix for proper support of values beyond vanilla caps.

How to install Overflowing Bars

  1. 1Install Fabric or NeoForge or Forge for your Minecraft version — Overflowing Bars supports 1.18.2 – 26.2.
  2. 2Download Puzzles Lib, Forge Config API Port and Forge Config Screens as well — Overflowing Bars depends on it and will not load without it.
  3. 3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
  4. 4Launch Minecraft using the Fabric or NeoForge or Forge profile. Overflowing Bars appears in your mod list once the game loads.
