Minecraft, but Mobs Drop Spawn Eggs

Killing a mob normally leaves you a scrap of flesh or a bone. Here it leaves you the mob. Every covered entity drops its own spawn egg the moment you land the killing blow, turning a night of mob farming into an actual collection - and a portable zoo you can re-release anywhere. Vanilla drops are preserved, Looting included, so this stacks on top of normal survival instead of replacing it. 57 mobs are covered, from zombies and creepers to wardens, breezes, axolotls and pandas. Eggs only drop on player kills, so mob farms and lava pits will not carpet the floor.

How it works

• Each covered mob gets its vanilla entity loot table rewritten with the same drops it always had, plus one extra pool that hands you the matching spawn egg.
• The egg pool sits behind the killed_by_player condition, so mobs that burn, drown, fall, despawn or kill each other never leak eggs into the world.
• 57 mobs are covered: the whole zombie and skeleton family, illagers, nether mobs, ocean life, farm animals, pets and the boss-tier trophies like the Warden and the Breeze.
• Looting still scales the vanilla half of every drop, and meat still comes out pre-cooked when the animal dies on fire, exactly as in survival.
• A tab-list scoreboard fed by the vanilla mob_kills statistic tracks your lifetime kills so you can watch the collection grow.
• Pure loot-table overrides with no tick loop, so there is zero per-tick cost and it is safe to drop onto an existing survival world or server.

Installing it

1. 1.Download the zip below. Do not unzip it — Minecraft reads the zip directly.
2. 2.In Minecraft, click your world, then Edit, then Open World Folder.
3. 3.Drop the zip into the datapacks folder inside that world.
4. 4.Load the world. Run /datapack list to confirm it is enabled.
