Diet layers a nutrition system over eating: each food group holds a value between 0% and 100%, rising with what you eat and gradually decaying as you burn through the hunger bar. Five classical groups ship by default - fruits, grains, vegetables, proteins and sugars - and a server config file lets users and pack developers redefine them entirely, including name, icon, colour, ordering, default value and gain or decay multipliers, along with the effects each group grants.

How to install Diet

  1. 1Install Fabric · Forge · Quilt for your Minecraft version — Diet supports 1.16.5 – 1.20.1.
  2. 2Download Needs Fabric API and Cardinal Components API as well — Diet depends on it and will not load without it.
  3. 3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
  4. 4Launch Minecraft using the Fabric · Forge · Quilt profile. Diet appears in your mod list once the game loads.
