Every one of the 1025 Pokemon gets five to eight research tasks - evolving it, defeating others with it, raising friendship, levelling, fishing it up, riding it a set distance - adding up to over 6000 in total. The research book is handed to you the first time you enter a world and can also be crafted, and the defaults are playable straight away in singleplayer or on a server. Pack and server owners can rewrite tasks and required amounts, change per-Pokemon rewards, and adjust the rewards for each of the seven completion tiers.

How to install Cobblemon: Research Tasks

1Install Fabric for your Minecraft version — Cobblemon: Research Tasks supports 1.21.1 – 1.21.1.
2Download Needs Cobblemon as well — Cobblemon: Research Tasks depends on it and will not load without it.
3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
4Launch Minecraft using the Fabric profile. Cobblemon: Research Tasks appears in your mod list once the game loads.
