Sodium corrects the darker smooth-lighting quirk vanilla applies to non-full blocks such as dirt paths, farmland, slabs and stairs; SSPB puts that shadowing back for players who liked the look. Shadow strength is adjustable from 0-100%, and you can restrict the effect to path blocks alone or switch them to true vanilla lighting. It only does anything with Sodium installed and smooth lighting on, and it is not affiliated with Sodium or CaffeineMC.
