The XP Tome is one item and one job: sneak and right-click to deposit experience, right-click to pull it back out. It holds 1395 XP by default, the equivalent of 30 levels, and the config controls both that cap and the percentage returned on retrieval, which can be set as a cost for using it. Item components and the recipe can also be overridden with a data pack rather than the config file.

How to install XP Tome
- 1Install Fabric · NeoForge · Forge for your Minecraft version — XP Tome supports 1.12.2 – 26.2.
- 2Download Needs Fabric API on Fabric, or Forge Config API Port on Forge as well — XP Tome depends on it and will not load without it.
- 3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
- 4Launch Minecraft using the Fabric · NeoForge · Forge profile. XP Tome appears in your mod list once the game loads.
