Minecraft, but Gravel Always Drops Flint
Vanilla gives you flint one gravel block in ten, which is why everyone has stood in a ravine punching gravel for twenty minutes to make a stack of arrows. This pack fixes that and nothing else. Every gravel block drops a flint, and it still drops the gravel, so nothing you were building with disappears. Fortune piles on more. Clay hands over four to six clay balls instead of a flat four, sand and red sand roll a real chance at a bonus block, and the suspicious variants are covered too. No new mobs, no chaos, no surprises - just the drop rates you always assumed were there.
How it works
- Gravel drops one flint every single time instead of the vanilla 10 percent, and the gravel block still drops alongside it, so your building stock is never eaten by the trade.
- Fortune stacks on top: each level adds a uniform 0 to +1 bonus flint per gravel block, so a Fortune III shovel averages roughly two and a half flint per block.
- Clay yields 4 to 6 clay balls instead of a flat 4 and scales further with Fortune, while Silk Touch still returns the intact clay block exactly as vanilla does.
- Sand and red sand roll a 15 percent chance at a bonus block, rising to 35, 60 and 100 percent at Fortune I, II and III. Suspicious sand and suspicious gravel use the same generous tables.
- Everything is a vanilla loot table override, so the new drops apply to explosions too, with the normal survives_explosion roll left intact.
- The only running logic is a milestone check every two seconds at 64, 256 and 1024 gravel mined; :stats reports your count and :uninstall clears the scoreboards cleanly.
