Animatica lets resource packs written for the MCPatcher/OptiFine animation format work on Fabric, covering animated GUI, entity, block entity and armour textures. Its scope is deliberately narrow - custom GUIs, custom entity models and connected textures are handled by other mods and will never be added here. Animated blocks and items already work in vanilla, so this fills in the rest.

How to install Animatica

1Install Fabric · Quilt for your Minecraft version — Animatica supports 1.17 – 1.21.6.
2Download Needs Fabric API as well — Animatica depends on it and will not load without it.
3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
4Launch Minecraft using the Fabric · Quilt profile. Animatica appears in your mod list once the game loads.
