Each season runs 28 in-game days by default and is derived from world time, so the cycle stays consistent across a save. The server side changes biome temperatures - letting cold biomes rain in summer and temperate ones snow and freeze in winter - and makes crops grow at different speeds through the year, while the client side swaps biome colourmaps for a purely visual seasonal look. Install both halves for the full effect.

How to install Fabric Seasons

1Install Fabric for your Minecraft version — Fabric Seasons supports 1.16.5 – 1.21.1.
2Download Needs Fabric API as well — Fabric Seasons depends on it and will not load without it.
3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
4Launch Minecraft using the Fabric profile. Fabric Seasons appears in your mod list once the game loads.
