Photon is a gameplay-first pack: sixthsurge built it around a physically-motivated sky and atmosphere model, then tuned everything so the world stays readable while you are mining, building and fighting. Caves are dark without being unplayable, the sky genuinely changes character through the day, and the whole thing is far lighter than its looks suggest. How to install Photon Shaders
