Alex's Mobs populates the world with a mix of real animals - grizzly bears, roadrunners, gazelles, orcas, gorillas and more - and a smaller set of invented ones such as the Endergrade and Bone Serpent. Nothing is purely decorative: every creature carries a unique drop, mechanic or function, and a few are outright bosses. Models, textures, animations and AI are built to sit comfortably next to the game's own recent mobs.

How to install Alex's Mobs

  1. 1Install Forge or NeoForge for Minecraft 1.20.1 — the build the button above opens (version 1.22.9) is for that. Alex's Mobs as a project supports 1.16.5 – 1.20.1; for other versions pick the matching file on the author's page.
  2. 2Download Citadel as well — Alex's Mobs depends on it and will not load without it.
  3. 3Drop the .jar into your .minecraft/mods folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS).
  4. 4Launch Minecraft using the NeoForge or Forge profile. Alex's Mobs appears in your mod list once the game loads.
