Motschen's Better Leaves adds extra leaf geometry so trees and bushes look dense and voluminous instead of flat — one of the most popular visual upgrades for any world. The pack is MIT, but for its mod support its zip carries rounded copies of other mods' leaf textures — among them Chipped, Blue Skies and The Undergarden, which are All Rights Reserved — so we do not mirror it, and the button above goes to the author’s official Modrinth page.

How to install Motschen's Better Leaves

1. 1Download the Motschen's Better Leaves .zip from the button above — keep it zipped. Its licence, or the licence of artwork inside it, doesn’t allow re-hosting, so that button takes you to the official Modrinth page — always the newest build, straight from the author.
2. 2Launch Minecraft 1.20 – 26.2 and open Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder.
3. 3Drop the .zip into that resourcepacks folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\resourcepacks on Windows).
4. 4Back in-game, move Motschen's Better Leaves to the right-hand column to activate it and click Done. No restart needed — textures swap immediately.

Resolution & compatibility

At 16x it matches vanilla's native resolution, so it costs essentially no extra VRAM and runs anywhere Minecraft runs. Motschen's Better Leaves retextures models, and works alongside other packs — Minecraft applies them top-down, so put Motschen's Better Leaves above any pack you want it to override. It also stacks cleanly with shader packs, since resource packs change textures while shaders change lighting.
