Motschen's Better Leaves adds extra leaf geometry so trees and bushes look dense and voluminous instead of flat — one of the most popular visual upgrades for any world.

How to install Motschen's Better Leaves

1. 1Download the Motschen's Better Leaves .zip from the button above — keep it zipped. It is hosted on MineSpecs, so there is no ad-gate or redirect.
2. 2Launch Minecraft 1.20 – 26.2 and open Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder.
3. 3Drop the .zip into that resourcepacks folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\resourcepacks on Windows).
4. 4Back in-game, move Motschen's Better Leaves to the right-hand column to activate it and click Done. No restart needed — textures swap immediately.

Resolution & compatibility

At 16x it matches vanilla's native resolution, so it costs essentially no extra VRAM and runs anywhere Minecraft runs. Motschen's Better Leaves retextures models, and works alongside other packs — Minecraft applies them top-down, so put Motschen's Better Leaves above any pack you want it to override. It also stacks cleanly with shader packs, since resource packs change textures while shaders change lighting.
