Phoxel PT
by Despatra
[WIP] A Minecraft shader that strives to capture some of the beauty of real life, mixed with the unique ambience and blocky beauty of the Minecraft we've all come to love. Phoxel PT is a vanilla-like pack from Despatra, bringing colored lighting, path tracing, PBR, reflections and shadows to your world. It targets high-tier hardware and up and runs through Iris or OptiFine on Minecraft 1.20 – 26.1.2. Licensed Apache-2.0, so the download is mirrored right here on MineSpecs — no ads, no redirects.
How to install Phoxel PT
- 1Install a shader loader for Minecraft 1.20 – 26.1.2 — Iris (pairs with Sodium) or OptiFine.Phoxel PT is a shaderpack, so it needs a loader to run.
- 2Download the Phoxel PT
.zipfrom the button above — keep it zipped. It is mirrored on MineSpecs, so there is no ad-gate or redirect. - 3Drop the .zip into your
.minecraft/shaderpacksfolder (%appdata%\.minecraft\shaderpackson Windows,~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/shaderpackson macOS). - 4Launch the game, open Options → Video Settings → Shaders, and select Phoxel PT.
Performance & what to expect
Phoxel PT is rated high performance impact. It is demanding — treat it as a showcase pack rather than a survival daily-driver, and expect to tune render distance. It renders colored lighting, path tracing, pbr, reflections and shadows. The look is vanilla like. Because it supports PBR, it looks its best with a matching texture set — browse our free resource packs for one with normal and specular maps.
More vanilla like shaders
Phoxel PT is created by Despatra and mirrored here under its Apache-2.0 licence. MineSpecs is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with Despatra, Mojang Studios or Microsoft.
