How to make Bookshelf
What you need
- Oak Planks×6
- Book×3
Worth knowing
- Six planks with three books sandwiched in the middle row; any plank type works.
- For level 30 enchantments you need fifteen bookshelves set two blocks out from the enchanting table with one block of air between each shelf and the table; shelves placed flat against the table do nothing, and a torch or carpet in the gap blocks the bonus.
- Breaking a bookshelf without Silk Touch returns the three books but not the planks.
- The shape matters but its position does not — this works in any corner of the grid, as long as the arrangement is the same.
