• Fishing rod top-left with the carrot diagonally below-right - the diagonal is what makes the rod dangle it.
• Hold it while riding a saddled pig to steer; right-clicking spends durability for a burst of speed.
• Repair it on an anvil with more carrots rather than throwing it away when it wears out.
• The shape matters but its position does not — this works in any corner of the grid, as long as the arrangement is the same.
