How to Make Charcoal in Minecraft
Put Oak Log in the furnace's top slot and any fuel in the bottom slot.
What you need
- Oak Log×1
Worth knowing
- Smelt any overworld log, stripped log or wood block in a furnace to get one charcoal; crimson and warped stems and hyphae are not accepted.
- Charcoal makes torches and burns as fuel identically to coal, at eight items smelted per piece.
- Unlike coal it cannot be crafted into a block of coal, and the two do not stack together.
