Bloop Shaders
by espen96
Bloop is built around a single idea: one pack that scales properly. espen96 tuned it so the same shaderpack is usable on a laptop with integrated graphics and on a high-end desktop, with the settings doing real work rather than nudging a couple of sliders. Fast by default, and pleasant rather than showy. It is CC-BY-NC-SA licensed — the NonCommercial clause means we don't mirror it, so the download goes to the author's page.
How to install Bloop Shaders
- 1Install a shader loader for Minecraft 1.16 – 26.1.2 — Iris (pairs with Sodium) or OptiFine.Bloop Shaders is a shaderpack, so it needs a loader to run.
- 2Download the Bloop Shaders
.zipfrom the button above — keep it zipped. espen96’s licence doesn’t permit re-hosting, so that button takes you to the official modrinth.com page — always the newest build, straight from the author. - 3Drop the .zip into your
.minecraft/shaderpacksfolder (%appdata%\.minecraft\shaderpackson Windows,~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/shaderpackson macOS). - 4Launch the game, open Options → Video Settings → Shaders, and select Bloop Shaders.
Performance & what to expect
Bloop Shaders is rated low performance impact. It is comfortable on entry-level dedicated GPUs at a normal render distance. It renders atmosphere and shadows. The look is vanilla like.
