What you need

• Iron Ingot×4
• Redstone×1

Worth knowing

• Four iron ingots in a plus with one redstone dust in the centre.
• The needle points to the world spawn point, not to your bed or your death location.
• Use it on a lodestone to bind it to that block instead. A plain compass spins at random in the Nether and the End.
• The shape matters but its position does not — this works in any corner of the grid, as long as the arrangement is the same.
