How to Get XP Fast in Minecraft

Experience powers enchanting, anvil repairs and Mending. Here's how to stack it up quickly.

The best XP sources

• Trial Spawners — clearing waves in Trial Chambers drops big XP fast.
• Mob farms — a dark-room or spawner farm gives a steady, hands-off stream.
• Mining ores — coal, redstone, lapis, diamond and emerald ore all drop XP when mined (don't use Silk Touch).
• Smelting — pull items out of a furnace to collect stored XP; cactus and kelp are cheap to smelt in bulk.
• Trading — every villager trade rewards XP and adds up fast at a trading hall.
• Breeding — each successful breed drops a little XP.

Fastest route to level 30

1. 1.Find a dungeon spawner (zombie or skeleton) or build a simple mob farm.
2. 2.Funnel mobs into a chamber where you can finish them in one hit.
3. 3.Stand below and soak up the orbs until you hit 30.
